You know 'em, You love 'em, you can't live without them. New Kids on The Block are back with their first new music in 14 years. This is the deluxe version of the Block CD. It comes with 4 extra songs, a fold out poster booklet. Their recent appearance on the Today Show's summer concert series drew one of the biggest crowds the network has seen for such a show.

What Customers Say About The Block [Deluxe Edition]:

The lyrics are subtle and get the point across, without over doing it. Thanks for the great memories of yesterday and the new ones too. (Incidentally, Danny Wood is a great singer, just check out his solo stuff, you will be blown away by Second Face) "Stare At You" is very beautiful. "Grown Man" is absolutely ridiculous.

Then Danny & Donnie have some rapping hooks towards the end, cool. Joe, Donnie, and Jordan are just great here. Even if you were never a fan, this CD is one, done by artists, not kids and it is a great way to leave a lasting impression on the fans. Donnie, Joe & Jordan provide some vulnerable performances here.

It has some cute spots, like 'tell me where to kiss it', plus it shows the happy side of love, and it's got a club vibe to is as well, this song is well done. Danny & Donnie rock the hooks on this too. "Looking Like Danger" is an upbeat way to end the CD. Then, the Pussycat Dolls add insult to injury, with their cheesy sexual mantras, I mean really, 'give you some grown man', come on guys, this track is wack. The song, as a whole isn't bad. It sounds like they are starting to make a porno or something. "Twisted" is a good song, the message is earnest and sincere. "Dirty Dancing" is a really good jam.

I know the guys have matured and whatnot, but the whole thing is cheesy. It starts with, a beautiful piano solo, then erupts into a party cut. Red One produces the hell out of this. Ronnie, Joe, & Michael just tear the chorus up. (Truth be told, if this CD was released back in 1994, instead of Face The Music, it would have taken the R&B world by storm). It's very sensual and upbeat, Jordan and Joe do well on these vocals and it is evenly produced.

"One Song" had a cute intro with Donnie and his son. Danny, Donnie, and Joe bring it to the floor for real. to one of their shows and it was a dream come true. Danny's hooks are subtle and smooth too. "Single" is a smooth tune, with the guys acting as one entity, trying to find that special girl.

Joey McIntyre's voice is smoother than ever and Jordan adds that R&B feel, plus Donnie's smooth rap, this is a great way to start it off. "2 In The Morning" is my favorite song on this disc. You guys will be missed. Then add Donnie and Joe's smooth vocals and this song just rocks it.

This is a nice club song, without the cheesy, 'love you tonight' vibe. You have made a long time fan's dream come true, a new CD and meeting you too (Oct 3, 2008 Cleveland, Ohio V.I.P Group "P"), was an experience of a lifetime. Jordan and Joe have cool leads. On to the review. This CD has been long awaited and probably was never going to happen. Jordan comes out swingin for the fence on this one.

This song will make you cry and/or fall in love, if you let it. "Summertime" is just a cool, relaxing tune. I am glad that the guys got back together for this and even Jonathan was on board too. I will say, first of all, that I was excited to hear that NKOTB was getting back together. Donnie really can wear many hats, his vocals are smooth. "Officially Over" is sort of prophetic, seeing this is their last go around.

It's catchy and cool. Joe and Akon have great supporting leads and Akon's rap is just sick. Jordan & Joe rock out with this. "Lights, Camera, Action" is very funny to me. This is another good song and everyone just does their part and makes this a great jam. I mean really.

I had never had the chance to see them back in the day. Joe, Jordan, and Donnie shine on this too. Joe & Jordan have nice flows and it is all about love and love lost, very nice. Joey has some amazing hooks on this and his voice is better than ever, plus Donnie and Jordan really show versatility in their vocals, and they got the smooth flows of Ne-Yo, excellent job on this one fellas. Well Done. I bought the V.I.P. It is poetic and honest.

It speaks of summertime, taking us all back to the old school NKOTB days, when we used to chill at the beach, have a BBQ and just jam with the fellas, very nostalgic tune for us Blockheads. On the other hand, it is tender and vulnerable too. "Put It On My Tab" features Akon. Joe, Donnie and Jordan really do well in describing the scene(s), Donnie and Jon provide great, yet smooth backing vocals, this song is good. "Click, Click, Click" is very catchy and a great R&B tune. Donnie & Danny steal the show on this. Again produced by RedOne. It is a romantic song, without overdoing the main message, but my only critique is that it is too slow, but a good song nonetheless.

"Don't Cry" has a calypso/R&B vibe. Just dancing and getting close to a lovely woman on the dance floor, although she isn't their wife, LOL. (Incidentally, these 2 groups are just amazing, but together, wow). That hook is just cool.

"Full Service" is a funky, R&B pop tune. Donnie has some smooth vocals on the chorus too. "Big Girl Now" has Lady Gaga with mad sexual prowess. This song starts with an R&B vibe and then jumps off into a pop jam.

New Edition, especially Ricky & Ralph just jam on it. It is very sensual and smooth. "Sexify My Love" is upbeat and has a catchy hook.

But I'm no longer a teen. AND I LOVE THEM.

The grooves are more sophisticated as are their topics, or at least the lyrics are. Musically, they've grown up with the rest of us.

As an original fan of NKOTB, I have to say they've come a long way from such classics as "Hangin' Tough" and "Covergirl". The songs on this CD are more representative of my life now than those golden oldies.

It's nice to listen to something for my generation without feeling like an old fogie or worse yet, a teeny-bopper wanna be.NKOTB I'm forever your girl. As a teen, there was no way I could have gotten away with listening to lyrics about having sex in the ocean or going to bed -- TOGETHER -- after Grey's Anatomy.

I'm a grown woman with experience and the kids to prove it.

she has it on her ipod too. even my husband likes some of the songs considering he doesn't like boybands. this has to be the best album i have ever heard and bought. the songs cater for all tastes in music. but you can't really call nkotb a boyband.you can not compare this album to their older stuff as what they did back in the day was the best of it's time and this is the best of today. i have a six year old daughter who loves all the songs too. as soon as we sit in the car she wants the hear "the block".

Surprisingly, i was wrong. Every song is great and worth listening over and over. Wow, i was scared to buy this album. It's great. =) I use to be a HUGE NKOTB fan. I was scared it wasn't going to be good.

Buy it, trust me, you will love it. These Five guys are still the "hardest working guys in show business" They love their fans, and they do great music. First off, Love this Album. Now, I would say to those out there that this is an excellent album, check it out, listen, love it, and buy it.
